Saturday 4/21/2012 Volunteering Update
antsinyourplantsgarden: Today at the garden we planted peas, squash, and zucchini. We also got some weeding done, and watered all the beds. Afterwards we went to Wayzegoose to get the word out about the garden! We took photos with passersby and danced around in veggie cutouts. So much fun! (Click the link below to read more) Read More

The White Savior Industrial Complex →
“The white savior supports brutal policies in the morning, founds charities in the afternoon, and receives awards in the evening.” “The White Savior Industrial Complex is not about justice. It is about having a big emotional experience that validates privilege.” I think I might be late to this party, but it happened during finals week.

feminismisprettycool: Romney cannot “fix” the economy. Obama cannot “fix” the economy. These are promises people make to get elected that misrepresent the power a president actually has to influence policy and that reflect a warped understanding of how long it takes to address the kinds of economic problems we are facing. Exactly.

IPad Killing Printer Use, Paper Sales [Survey] →
infoneer-pulse: If you think about it, printers are probably the worst-designed gadgets in our homes (unless you own the same awful Samsung Behold as I do). But despite the mythical advance of the paperless office, nobody has been able to kill them off. Until now. A new survey says that the iPad has finally doomed the printer, and is even saving trees. The survey, conducted by Morgan Stanley...

Anonymous asked: I just want to say that I completely misread your post there, and was left wondering what the fuck jam has to do with feminism, and why women need it. I mean, its tasty and all but its not THAT good!

All women need to jam. Its the ultimate feminist act. Women getting together, creating something, expressing themselves, collaborating, being active, getting in touch with their own power. It’s liberating.
